Sanbor Shullai is BJP’s candidate for Shillong Lok Sabha seat

Shillong, Mar 23: BJP legislator from South Shillong constituency, Sanbor Shullai is its candidate from Shillong parliamentary constituency for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls slated for April 11.

The BJP also named Adorsho Sangma as the candidate for the bye election to Selsella Assembly constituency.

Shullai will be fighting against two-time Congress Shillong MP, Vincent H Pala and UDP leader Jemino Mawthoh, who is contesting as the MDA common candidate.

BJP state president, Shibun Lyngdoh said that there is no doubt that the BJP will support the NPP candidate, Agatha K. Sangma who is contesting against Congress nominee and former chief minister Mukul Sangma in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

Expressing confidence that the Narendra Modi-led NDA government will come back to power, Lyngdoh urged all people of Khasi and Jaiñtia Hills to vote for the BJP because the party’s only agenda is “development, development and development.”

BJP Legislature Party leader and Health Minister, AL Hek said that the state party would leave no stone unturned to ensure Shullai’s victory. “We have decided to go to different booth level to campaign for Shullai. Though only few days left for the campaign, but we will utilize the time we have for ensuring victory of the party in the upcoming elections,” Hek said
