Shillong, May 27: Meghalaya on Thursday registered 809 new COVID-19 cases, which pushed the tally of active cases to 8,255, the health department said in a bulletin.
Meanwhile, the state also records 579 new recovered cases in last 24 hours, with this the total recovered cases reaches 24,325.
12 more succumbs to the infections in last 24 hours, taking total number of fatalities from COVID-19 infection to 524 so far.
COVID-19 recovery rate in the state improves to 73.43 per cent, showing tremendous progress compared to positive case since last few days.
