Shillong Aug 21: The Autumn Session of the 10th Meghalaya Legislative Assembly will begin on September 6.
Assembly Commissioner and Secretary, Andrew Simons on Wednesday informed that a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) of the Assembly will be held on Friday to finalize the agenda and number of days for the Autumn Session.
The BAC meeting will be chaired by Deputy Speaker, Timothy D. Shira in the absence of Speaker.
The Assembly has to elect a new Speaker in place of Shella MLA and Speaker, Dr Donkupar Roy who passed away on July 28.
Late Dr Donkupar was elected as Speaker of the 10th Meghalaya Assembly on March 12, 2018.
