Two KSU members arrested for Ichamati incident

Shillong, Apr 2: A lower court on Tuesday remanded two members of the Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) to seven days in police custody.

The two KSU members were arrested by police on Monday night for their alleged involvement in the killing of two persons in Ichamati on March 27.

The two KSU members were identified as Sambor Shati of Wahutim, Sohra, and Mesadap Skhembil of Saitsohpen, Sohra.

Police said that they were booked under sections 302 and 34 of IPC.

The duo were arrested on Monday night.

They were arrested by a team from Sohra Police Station and later shinifted to Shillong Sadar Police Station for interrogation.
