Three more dies of Covid in state, tally rises to 174

Meghalaya records two more Covid fatalities

Shillong, May 1: The state on Saturday recorded three more Covid fatalities taking the total to 174, health authorities informed.

According to state Director of Health Services (MI), Dr. Aman War the one David Dkhar 66 year-old male of Madanriting, Shillong was admitted in Nazareth Hospital, Shillong on April 21.

He expired on April 30 at 7:30 am and the cause of death was Covid 19 pneumonia with Sepsis with Diabetes Mellitus with Hypertension with End Stage Renal Disease.

The second death that was recorded was that of one Laxmi Devi 65 year-old female of Lad Umsaw, Ri Bhoi district.

The victim was admitted in Civil Hospital, Shillong on April 20 and she expired on May 01 at 4:30 am.

Her cause of death was recorded as Type I Respiratory Failure due to Covid 19 Pneumonia with Septic Shock with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus with Hypertension.

The third fatality was that one Stik Kharlynnai 65 year-old male of Mawmaram.

He was admitted in NEIGRIHMS Hospital, Shillong on April 25 and he expired on May 1 at 6:30 am.

His casue of death was recorded as Type I Respiratory Failure with Multi organ dysfunction syndrome with Acute Kidney Injury with Acute Liver Injury with Acute Pancreatitis with Covid Positive status with Ischaemic Cardiomyopathy with Severe LV systolic dysfunction.
