Shillong, Oct 7: Police have arrested one person for his alleged involvement in the planting of an IED in front of the office of the NPP on October 4.
According to assistant Inspector General of Police, Gabriel K. Iangrai, the suspect was arrested on Wednesday afternoon at around 3:30 pm.
“In the course of investigation the suspect admitted to his role and also stated that he is a member of the proscribed HNLC,” Iangrai informed.
Police has also said that they have recovered incriminating evidence from his possession.
“Investigation of the case is in progress to arrest the accused persons involved in the crime,” Iangrai added.
