Mukul refutes report of him and 12 others joining TMC

Shillong, Apr 23: All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) leader, Dr. Mukul Sangma has admitted that some of his party colleagues may leave the party before the 2023 Assembly election.

However, Dr. Sangma informed that there are other MLAs who would be joining the AITC.

“We are prepared for everything. There will definitely be certain elements of surprises in both ways you will see some members from the other sides also joining other political parties nothing is yet visible,” the leader of opposition said.

He said that the party has its own strategy at looking at how things are happening,” he said.

The leader of opposition said that this is the time for the AITC to utilise it for “filtering” also.

Dr. Sangma also said that the AITC will go alone in the 2023 polls.

“TMC will not have any alliance with any political parties who are part of this government ,” he said.

Dr. Sangma said that 70 percent to 75 percent of the people of the state wants the MDA to go out of power after the 2023 Assembly polls.

“Therefore for AITC to have anything to do with any of the political parties who are in the ruling dispensation then how do you do justice to the aspirations of the people?” he asked.
