Shillong, Jun 9: The Meghalaya Human Rights Commission (MHRC) has taken cognizance of the case filed by the Meghalaya Pradesh Mahila Congress on the death of a 28 year pregnant woman at Dangar , East Khasi Hills.
Meghalaya Pradesh Mahila Congress has alleged that the  gross negligence and careless attitude of the doctor and the nurses on duty lead to the tragic death of the woman.
The Commission has issued notice to the Chief Secretary, to cause an Enquiry to be conducted into the entire matter by an Officer of the rank of Commissioner and Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya and to submit a report to the Commission.
