Meghalaya prepares 13 centres for counting of votes on Saturday

Shillong Feb 28: Counting of votes in 13 centres Shillong Feb 28: The state election department has arranged as many as 13 centres mostly in the district headquarters for counting of votes on March 3.

 All district headquarters of the 11 districts, including the state capital Shillong, and one centre each at Sohra civil sub division and Mairang civil sub division.

 are the 13 counting centres.

According to Kharkongor, six out 106 companies of Central armed police force have been retained for guarding strong rooms.

“We are also keeping six additional companies to be deployed for law and order including problems that may occur on the counting day,” he said.

The district administration will also display a big screen at

​Polo – ​ J.N. Stadium and Parking Lot on the counting day ​so that ​people can update the results ​from  various constituencies
