Shillong, May 31: In the backdrop of several COVID-19 positive cases recently reported from the Raj Bhavan Shillong, Governor Satya Pal Malik on Sunday underwent RTPCR test in New Delhi and came out negative for the virus.
“He (Governor) has been in New Delhi since May 26 and there were some worries in Raj Bhavan as many of the staff in the personal and daily service of the Governor had been reported positive. However, with the Governor reporting negative in RTPCR test, Raj Bhavan officers and staff heaved a sigh of relief,” Secretary to Governor, Pravin Bakshi said on Monday.
Meanwhile, the Governor has wished speedy recovery to all the 43 COVID-19 positive staff and family members.
