Shillong,Sept. 23: Four more COVID-19 patient died in Meghalaya, taking the fatality count in the State to 42, while 170 more persons tested positive for COVID-19, taking the number of active cases to 2,060 on Wednesday.
DHS (MI) Dr Aman War on Wednesday evening informed that Ryena Begum 68 (F) from Mahendraganj admit at Ampathi Civil Hospital on the 17th Sept died on 22nd Sept., Abdul Hazim 60 (M) from Jhalupara brought dead and tested positive at Nazareth Hospital on 22nd Sept, Deepak Dutta 75 (M) from Circuit House Kench’s Trace tested positive and died on 23rd Sept at NEIGHRIMS and Sudip Karmakar 41 (M) from Laban, brought dead at Woodland Hospital on 22nd Sept.
In East Khasi Hills district, 117 new cases were reported (Armed Forces/Para Military Forces: 01 and others 116 ), Ri Bhoi 37, West Garo Hills 05, North Garo Hills 05, besides East Jaintia Hills and West Jaintia Hills 03 positive cases each.
Out of 2,060 total active cases, in East Khasi Hills 1472 (Armed Forces/Para Military Forces: 174 and Others : 1298). In west Khasi Hills District 13 cases , Ri Bhoi district 156 (Armed Forces/Para Military Forces: 32 and Others : 124),South West Khasi Hills 06, West Jaintia Hills district 12, East Jaintia Hills district 275, West Garo Hills district 95 (Armed Forces/Para Military Forces: 50 and Others :45), South West Garo Hills district 11, South Garo Hills district 05, East Garo Hills district 06 and North Garo Hills district 09.
New recovered cases 153 were reported , East Khasi Hills 113 , Ri Bhoi 17 ,West Garo Hills 17, East Jaintia Hills 02, South West Garo Hills 03 and South Garo Hills 01, total recovered 2859.
The total COVID 19 cases so far recorded in the state is 4,961 which includes forty two deaths due to COVID-19 have been reported so far.
