COVID 19: With 72 persons cured in a day, recoveries outnumber positive cases in Meghalaya

COVID: Meghalaya records 26 fresh cases, 23 recovers from the virus

Shillong, Dec 21: With 72 persons cured in a day, recoveries outnumber positive , taking total number of recovered patients to 12,692.

As many as 05 more persons tested positive for COVID-19, taking the number of active cases to 432 on Monday.

New 05 COVID-19 positive cases were 03 from East Khasi Hills district(Armed force/ Para-military force- 01 and Nongrim Hills cluster- 02), 01 screening purpose from West Garo Hills district and 01 returnee from Ri Bhoi district.

Fresh 72  COVID-19  recovered cases were 57 from East Khasi Hills district(Armed force/ Para- military force- 02,SARI case- 01,Health worker- 02,High Risk- 07,ILI case- 02,Cleve colony cluster- 01,Golflink cluster- 01,Happy Valley cluster- 02,Jaiaw cluster- 01,Laban cluster- 06,Madanryting cluster- 24,Malki cluster- 01,Mawprem cluster- 01,Nongthymmai cluster- 03 and Polo cluster- 03), 08 High Risk  from West Jaintia Hills district, 03 from South Garo Hills district(High risk- 01,Driver- 01 and Police personnel- 01), 02 from Ri Bhoi district(High risk- 01 and Returnee- 01), 01 High Risk from North Garo Hills district and 01 Mahendraganj cluster from South West Garo Hills district.

Till date, the State has registered 13,258 COVID-19 cases, of which 532 are active,134 deceased and 12,692 have recovered.
