COVID 19: With 148 persons cured in a day, recoveries outnumber positive cases in Meghalaya

State records 39 new Covid cases, taking the active tally to 202

Shillong, Dec 18: With 148 persons cured in a day, recoveries outnumber positive , taking total number of recovered patients to 12,470.

As many as 48 more persons tested positive for COVID-19, taking the number of active cases to 586 on Friday.

New 48 COVID-19 positive cases were 47 from East Khasi Hills district (Armed force/ Paramilitary force- 04,Health worker- 01,High risk- 10,ILI case- 05,Returnee- 04,SARI case- 01,Jhalupara cluster- 02,Laban cluster- 01,Lummawbah cluster- 02,Mawprem cluster- 02,Nongmynsong cluster- 02,Nongrim Hills cluster- 01,Nongthymmai cluster- 01,Police personnel- 03,Police Bazaar cluster- 01,Pynthorbah cluster- 02,Umpling cluster- 03,Anjalee cluster- 01 and Barapathar cluster- 01) and 01 High Risk district from Ri Bhoi district.

Fresh 148  COVID-19  recovered cases were 127 from East Khasi Hills district (Armed forces/ Para- military force- 27,Returnee- 14,Heath worker- 03 and High risk- 83), 07 High Risk from West Garo Hills district, 06 from Ri Bhoi district (Health Worker- 01,High Risk- 02 and Returnee- 03), 04 High Risk from South West Garo Hills district and 04 from West Jaintia Hills district (High Risk- 03 and Health Worker- 01).

Till date, the State has registered 13,189 COVID-19 cases, of which 586 are active,133 deceased and 12,470 have recovered.
