Shillong, Aug 01: Meghalaya on Sunday registered 589 new COVID-19 cases, which pushed the tally of active cases to 6,043, the health department said in a bulletin.
Meanwhile, the state also records 499 new recovered cases in last 24 hours, with this the total recovered cases reaches 58,450.
11 more succumbs to the infections in last 24 hours, taking total number of fatalities from COVID-19 infection to 1,096 so far.
