Shillong, Dec 16: After conducting screening test, the 28 Battalion of the BSF under in Tura, Meghalaya Frontier started a pre recruitment training camp at Border Out Post Mahenderganj on December 15 with an aim to provide employment opportunities and prepare local youths to join Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) and Armed Forces.
The camp was heavily subscribed by local youths.
The pre recruitment training of four weeks will go a long way in preparing youths from bordering villages to successfully join the CAPFs/ Armed Forces.
The border population praised the initiative undertaken by BSF for providing a rare opportunity to the unemployed youths for their general upliftment of physical and education standards.
